The Arctic wilderness is not only the setting for Lapland Aurora World — it is something we have a responsibility to respect.

Lapland Aurora World has been designed as a small-scale experience for only eight guests at a time. Keeping groups small allows us to create a more personal experience while reducing unnecessary disturbance to the surrounding forest and its wildlife.

Small by design
We welcome only eight guests at a time. Rather than building the experience around large groups and high visitor volumes, Lapland Aurora World is intentionally kept intimate and carefully managed.

Respect for the Arctic environment
Our experience takes place in a natural forest environment. Guests move along designated routes, and we ask everyone to respect the surrounding nature, wildlife and vegetation throughout the journey.

Respect for animals
Reindeer are part of life in the North and an important part of the Lapland Aurora World experience. Encounters are designed to take place calmly and respectfully, with guests following the guidance of our hosts.

A journey with purpose
Transportation is arranged as part of the experience, rather than having every guest travel independently to the location. Guests are collected from selected pick-up points in Rovaniemi and travel together to Lapland Aurora World.

Less is part of the experience
Lapland Aurora World is built around things that already belong to the Arctic night: darkness, silence, snow, forest and time spent outdoors. Our aim is not to fill the wilderness with unnecessary activity, but to help our guests experience what is already there.

We want the Arctic wilderness to remain a place of darkness, silence and natural beauty long after our guests have returned home. That means treating the environment with care, continuously reviewing how we operate and making responsible choices as Lapland Aurora World develops.
