Lapland Aurora World was created around a simple idea: a night in Lapland should be worth experiencing whether or not the Aurora Borealis appears.

Instead of spending the evening driving from place to place in search of a clear sky, your journey takes you away from Rovaniemi and into one carefully designed world in the Arctic wilderness.

And the experience begins the moment we pick you up.

As the city lights fade behind you, the journey into the Arctic night begins. By the time you arrive, you are already part of the story.

From there, the evening unfolds as one continuous, story-driven journey. You will meet and feed reindeer, enter the multisensory Aurora Forest, listen to stories inspired by the North, experience the Aurora Show, gather around the fire for Lapland flavours and warm drinks, and enjoy a playful moment on Aurora Hill.

Each part has been carefully designed to belong to the same world. Light, sound, stories, fire, snow and the surrounding forest come together to create an experience that changes as the night unfolds.

But not everything is created by us.

The snow beneath your feet. The silence of the forest. The cold Arctic air. The darkness. And the sky above you.

These are simply Lapland.

And because Lapland Aurora World welcomes only eight guests at a time, there is no need to rush from one experience to the next. There is time to stop, listen, look around and simply be part of the Arctic night.

➤ Every night at Lapland Aurora World is an experience of its own. And if the Aurora Borealis appears above us, nature becomes part of the story.
➤ Food and drinks are included. Lapland treats are served during the experience, so please let us know about any food allergies or dietary requirements when booking.

➤ What is Lapland Aurora World?
Lapland Aurora World is an intimate Arctic night experience in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland. Designed for only eight guests at a time, it takes you away from the city lights and into the Arctic wilderness — among reindeer, stories, fire, light and the silence of Lapland.

Rather than focusing on a single activity, the entire journey has been carefully designed as one experience of the Arctic night.

➤ What happens if the Aurora Borealis doesn't appear?
The Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) is a natural phenomenon, so its appearance can never be guaranteed.

Unlike traditional Aurora Hunting tours, we don't spend the night driving from place to place in search of the Aurora Borealis. At Lapland Aurora World, the Arctic night itself is the experience.

And if the Aurora Borealis appears above us, nature adds something extraordinary of its own.

➤ What happens if the Aurora Borealis don't appear?
Nothing changes. Your journey continues exactly as it was designed.

Lapland Aurora World was created to make a night in Lapland worth experiencing whatever happens in the sky. The wilderness, reindeer, stories, fire, light and silence are all part of your night.

The Aurora Borealis is something nature may add — not something your experience depends on.

Lapland Aurora World is hidden in the Arctic wilderness outside Rovaniemi, at a location reserved only for our guests.

The exact location is not publicly disclosed — it remains part of the experience.

➤ Can I drive there myself?
No. There is no public entrance and independent arrival is not possible.

Transportation from your selected pick-up point in Rovaniemi to Lapland Aurora World and back is included in your experience.

➤ How many guests will there be?
Only eight guests at a time.

Lapland Aurora World was intentionally designed for small groups, allowing the experience to remain personal, peaceful and unhurried.

➤ How long does the experience last?
The complete experience lasts approximately 4 hours. Your journey begins the moment we pick you up in Rovaniemi, as you leave the city behind and head into the Arctic wilderness, and ends when we bring you back after your night at Lapland Aurora World.

➤ What should I wear?
Dress for genuine Arctic winter conditions. We recommend warm layers, insulated winter clothing, gloves, a warm hat and suitable winter footwear.

You will spend a significant part of the experience outdoors, so dressing warmly is essential.

➤ How cold can it be?
Winter temperatures in Lapland vary considerably and can fall below –20°C.

Cold, snow and changing winter conditions are a natural part of experiencing the Arctic, so please check the weather and dress accordingly.

➤ Is winter clothing provided?
Winter clothing is not provided, so please arrive dressed for Arctic winter conditions. Warm outerwear and appropriate winter footwear are essential.

You can rent the necessary winter clothing from various rental shops in Rovaniemi city center.

➤ How much walking is involved?
The experience includes approximately one kilometer of walking through the Arctic wilderness. The route follows natural forest terrain and may include snow, uneven ground and gentle slopes.

No special skills or previous outdoor experience are required.

➤ Is it suitable for children?
Yes, but due to the duration of the experience and Arctic winter conditions, we recommend Lapland Aurora World for children aged 3 years and over. Parents should consider their child's ability to spend extended periods outdoors in cold conditions.

➤ Is the experience accessible?
Lapland Aurora World takes place in a natural wilderness environment with snow and uneven terrain, which may make some parts of the experience difficult to access.

If you have limited mobility or other accessibility requirements, please contact us before booking so we can discuss your individual needs.

➤ Is food or a drink included?
Yes. Food and drinks are included in the experience, with Lapland-style delicacies served during the evening.

The food served is not intended to replace a full meal, so we recommend eating something before departure.

Please let us know about any food allergies or dietary requirements when booking.

➤ Can I take photographs?
Yes. You are welcome to take photographs and videos throughout the experience. But don't forget to experience the moment without a camera, too.

➤ What happens in bad weather?
Lapland Aurora World takes place in real Arctic winter conditions, and snow, cold and changing weather are part of the experience.

Safety always comes first. If conditions make it unsafe to operate the experience, we will contact you and provide information about the available options.

➤ Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes. Plans can change. Changes to your booking are subject to availability, so please contact us as early as possible if you need to make a change.
